What a mission report contains
Below is the structure of the document a mission ends with, screen by screen. Every name, number and finding on this page is invented to show the shape of the deliverable. None of it comes from a mission, and none of it describes a real organisation.
Executive summary
- Decision studied
- Placeholder: whether to fund a French partner network next year
- Illustrative scope
- Placeholder: four of six categories, one product line
- Working period
- Placeholder: five weeks
- Verdict
- Placeholder: adjust the approach and test again, do not fund yet
The three things worth knowing
- 01
Interest exists, but not in the category we expected
Integrators were lukewarm. The two consultants approached were the ones who asked to keep talking. On four conversations, that is a lead worth following rather than a conclusion.
- 02
One blocker came up unprompted, twice
A missing integration with a tool used widely in the sector. Both mentions came from firms serving the same vertical, so it may be a niche constraint rather than a general one.
- 03
Nobody could say what a partner would earn
Margin came up in two conversations and neither could answer it from the material available. Whether that blocks a decision or merely delays one was not established.
A real summary is rarely tidy. Two of the three points above are unresolved rather than concluded, which is what a first round of conversations can produce.

Objections and adoption barriers
Placeholder: no local reference to show a client
Raised by 4 of 6 · Blocking for the two who resell; a question of timing for the others.
Placeholder: missing integration with a tool used locally
Raised by 3 of 6 · Cited as the reason a project would stall at technical review.
Placeholder: unclear margin for the partner
Raised by 2 of 6 · Only among organisations that resell rather than implement.
Evidence: heard, observed, interpreted

|---|---|---|---|
| Finding 1 | Category 1, 2 | 4 of 6 | Medium |

| Finding 3 | Category 3 | 2 of 6 | Low |

Confidence and limitations
- Six conversations is a signal, not a representative sample
- One category returned too few replies to draw anything from
- Findings reflect firms open to a foreign vendor, which is not the whole market
- Nothing here has been tested with an end customer
Recommendation framework
Carry on
Repeated pull, objections that are practical rather than structural
Adjust and test again
Interest exists but the offer or the category is wrong
Wait
The blockers are product or timing, and no amount of selling fixes them
Possible next steps
Introductions to the organisations that want to keep talking, where both sides agree. Then whatever the findings actually support: a second round with a different category, a change to the offer, or nothing at all for now.

Why there is no filled-in example
A report full of plausible French company names and quotes would read better than this page. It would also be fiction presented as work, and you would have no way of telling. The structure is real; the content of your report will come from your market.
