Who is responsible

Evolren is published by Matteo Henriques, acting as an individual. He decides why and how the data described below is used, and is the person you contact about it at contact@evolren.com. Full publisher details are on the legal notice.

If we contacted you about your company

We approach software companies that we think may one day consider the French market. If you received a message from us, you did not give us your details yourself, so here is exactly what we hold and where it came from.

What we hold
Your name, your job title, the company you work for, a professional email address or the address of a public professional profile, and our own notes about the company: its product, its partners, its markets. Nothing about your private life.
Where it came from
Public professional sources only: your company’s own website, its partner or team pages, public professional networks, business registries and trade press. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not guess email addresses.
Why we hold it
To contact you once about whether the French market is relevant to your company, and to keep track of the conversation if you reply.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: business development towards a company, using professional contact details, in a role where such contact is expected. We weighed that against your interests, which is why we contact you in your professional capacity only, keep the volume low, and stop immediately when asked.
How long
Twelve months from our last contact if you do not reply, then deletion. If you ask us to stop, we delete everything except the minimum needed to make sure we never contact you again: your email address and that instruction.
Who sees it
Only us. We do not sell, rent or share this data. It sits in our own files and in our mailbox, hosted by our email provider.

If you write to us

When you send us a message, whether through the form on this site or by email, we receive your name, your email address, your company, what you told us you are trying to decide about France, and the website address and any further note if you gave them. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. There is no marketing list to join and no box that adds you to one.

A message sent through the form reaches our mailbox through an email delivery provider, which processes it on our behalf solely to deliver it. We keep the correspondence for as long as the exchange is useful, and delete it on request.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask for a copy, or object to our using it at all. One email to contact@evolren.com is enough. No form, no justification needed. We answer within a month, usually far sooner.

Telling us to stop writing takes one word, and it is permanent. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority; in France that is the CNIL.
